How to Apply for Student Funding

New User
As a new user of the Student Funding Application website, you must first activate your account using your Student Reference, Surname and Date Of Birth.

Please Note: your Date of Birth must be typed in the following format (dd/mm/yyyy)

Password

Once your account is activated you need to create a password. This must be at least eight characters including one uppercase letter and one lowercase letter.

Returning User

If you have previously activated your account you can log back in using your email address and the password you set up.

Forgotten your password?

If you forget your password you can recover your password by following these instructions. 

A new password will be sent to your email address.

How to apply

Application Forms
The forms that are available to you are on the tab along the top of the webpage. Select the fund (Bursary or Childcare) you wish to apply for and click ‘Apply Now’.

Completion of the Form
The sections that must complete are highlighted in pink on the left-hand side of the screen. All sections must be completed

Required Documents
Depending on your answers to the questions, the form will generate a list of documents relevant to your circumstances. Documents need to be uploaded to complete the application.

Submission
When all sections are complete and documents uploaded click on ‘Review and Submit Application’. You will get an email to acknowledge this submission.

Status
You can check the status of your application at any time by logging-in and clicking on the relevant application.


How to get your documents to us

Submitting Documents
You must submit relevant documents to support your application. The list is generated depending on your answers to the questions and must upload at least one document against each checklist item. A maximum of 12 documents can be uploaded against an item and please ensure you include all pages of the evidence.

Uploading
You will need an electronic copy of the necessary documents to carry out the next step. You can do this by either ‘scanning’ or taking a picture of the document with a camera, tablet or smart phone.

To upload documents click on ‘Upload Evidence’, ‘Browse’ for your file and select ‘Upload Selected Evidence’.

Acceptable Files
The system accepts all common file types; Word, Adobe and Image files and the maximum file size is 4MB.
