What's on

Fresher’s and Re-Fresher’s

At the start of every academic year GCCSA arrange Fresher’s Fayre’s across all three campuses for students to enjoy.

This involves a variety of different organisations having a stall on campus to provide students with access to information about events, activities and opportunities going on around the city, as well as useful services they may require.

As we have new students who join us within January half way through the academic year we also hold Re-Fresher’s Fayres which work exactly the same way.

The Fresher's Fayres for 2018/19 will take place between 10am to 2pm at :

  • Cardonald Campus (Student Space) on 4 September
  • Anniesland Campus (Main Corridor) on 5 September
  • Langside Campus (The Hub - Student Space) on 6 September.

Make sure you come along and say hello!

Watch this space for the arrival of dates for Re-Fresher's 2019/20 next year!

Wellbeing Fayre

In 2018/19 for the first time GCCSA ran a Wellbeing Fayre for the first time in March. This took the same form as the Fresher’s/Re-Fresher’s events but on a smaller scale where organisations related to healthy living, mental and physical health, active lifestyle and positive life management were on campus with information and support.

We now plan for this to be an annual event, so again watch this space for the dates when this returns next year!

Student Elections

GCCSA is run by students, for students, and all students are automatically members of GCCSA. We are determined to represent students’ interests here at Glasgow Clyde College.

Every spring, we elect a new full time president and three part-time vice presidents to represent the student body at Glasgow Clyde College. We not only seek to represent students, we also wish to forge strong links with external organisations and partners, to ensure GCCSA can continue to help to improve the overall learning experience.

Being a part of the action could be a great benefit not only to you and your future, but could also make a real difference to the learning and development of your peers, and to improving Glasgow Clyde College.

Nominations and the election for the 2018/19 have passed and you can read all about our team in the 'Meet The Team' area.

Please feel free to have a chat with the GCCSA team at anytime if you think you would be interested in running for one of the positions for the 2019/20 session.

Class Representative (class rep) Meetings

Class Rep meetings will take place every second month throughout the academic year, we encourage class reps to make an effort to attend all of these where possible as it is a great opportunity to pass on your feedback and hear updates from GCCSA, as well as having the chance to speak to various staff from around the college.

Once you have been chosen by your class as a rep your lecturer should inform GCCSA and then you will receive regular contact via your email about meeting dates. If you are not receiving this let us know at:
