On this National Progression Award (NPA) in Customised Make Up and Eye Treatments, you will learn about different skin types, tones, and principles of colour correction.
You’ll explore how skin deteriorates with age, and how pigmentation changes over time. You’ll also examine why make-up may not be suitable for certain individuals, such as those with skin conditions or allergies.
Through skin analysis, you’ll identify a client’s skin type and tone, then apply make-up using safe and hygienic practices. To further elevate the look, you’ll be trained in the application of cluster and strip lashes to complement various eye shapes.
You’ll learn how to spot different face, eye, and eyebrow shapes, and understand when it’s safe or not safe to carry out eyelash and eyebrow treatments.
You’ll develop practical skills in eyelash lifting, eyebrow lamination, tinting of both eyelashes and eyebrows, and eyebrow shaping.
After completing treatments, you’ll learn how to provide aftercare and home care advice.
You will work as part of a salon team, focusing on meeting client needs, treatment timing, personal presentation, and hygiene control.
