This NQ Business Management course covers a broad range of business, accounting and IT skills sought after by employers.

Entry requirements (minimum)

  • Three or more relevant courses at National 4 level or above, or equivalent, - including English; OR
  • Relevant life and work experience will be considered.
  • ESOL entry requirements Applicants whose first language is not English should have minimum ESOL National 5 (or equivalent)

Employer and industry links

The College has employer links with a variety of organisations e.g. Bridge to Business who link us to a variety of entrepreneurs. As part of your course you may go on a trip to visit an organisation and/or guest speakers may be brought in.

Jobs and further study

  • NQ Advanced Business with Human Resource Management
  • Access to HND Business (starting January 2022)
  • Various Level 6 courses in other campuses
  • HND Business and HND Administration and IT at all three campuses. If you wish to progress onto HND you should gain a high grade in your internal exam, pass all units as well as having an exemplary academic reference
  • HND Accounting at Langside and Anniesland campuses. If you wish to progress onto HND you should gain a high grade in your exam, pass all units as well as having an exemplary academic reference.

Making an application

For courses starting in August, you can make up to two applications.

Applications are made to a course and a first choice of campus. If the course is oversubscribed at your first choice you will be automatically considered for alternative sites and may be made an offer without a further application.

I've applied — what happens next?

You will receive an automated email confirming that we have received your application (remember to check your SPAM folder if you do not hear from us).

  • Your application will be reviewed by the admissions team and you will either be made an offer (unconditional/conditional) or re-levelled to an alternative course. 
  • The academic staff may wish to contact you by phone if we feel that we need to speak to you to get more information on your application, qualifications or experience.
  • Once an offer is received you must reply within 14 days or risk losing your place.
  • Once you have accepted your offer, you will be sent further information, for example Student Funding, Joining Instructions and Induction Date.
