Interested in developing your management skills and ready to take the next step? This CMI Level 3 Certificate in First Line Management course is suitable for aspiring or newly appointed supervisors and first line managers, or anyone managing people, projects or operations for the first time.
You'll build the confidence to lead a team, manage performance and achieve organisational objectives, working through real workplace scenarios you can apply straight into your role.
You'll also gain a nationally recognised CMI qualification, supporting your progression into more senior roles.
The course is delivered in a group setting, with a minimum of eight learners per group.

UNIT 330 – Organisational Awareness for First Line Managers

Develop practical skills to lead and support your team, from motivating individuals to managing performance.
By the end of the course, you'll be able to:

CMI Levels explained:
Levels 2 and 3
Designed for aspiring, supervisory or first-line managers. Levels 2 and 3 offer a broad range of knowledge, ranging from team leading to project and resource management.
Levels 4 and 5
For mid-managers, Levels 4 and 5 are more appropriate as they focus on developing core management skills such as managing resources, recruitment and information management.
Levels 6 and 7
Levels 6 and 7 are developed for senior managers who have the responsibility to translate organisational strategy into effective performance.
Entry requirements (minimum)
- There are no formal entry requirements however as the units are traditionally assessed through assignment-based work therefore you will need to have a good understanding of the English language and writing.
- Some basic ICT skills will also be required to research, produce your work and send it to the tutor for marking. We can support you with any learning needs you may have.
- Ideally, you need to be working within an organisation or role where you can demonstrate skills and apply knowledge. Alternatively, you could draw on previous experience within an organisation or use an organisation you are familiar with.
