Student entrepreneurs excel at Start up Factory Scotland event
The Glasgow Regional Start Up Factory took place recently at the University of Glasgow. 26 Glasgow Clyde College students signed up to take part in the event which saw teams design solutions to a specific business problem or market gap, and present their findings.
Congratulations to Sami Sulton and TJ Bell (HND Mechanical Engineering at Anniesland) who were a part of the 1st place team, Liam King (HND Business at Cardonald) who was in the 2nd place team and Jaishree Sharma (NQ Fundamentals of Business Administration L5 at Cardonald) who was in the 3rd place team. Winning teams received £1500, £1000 and £500 in prize money.
All participants from Glasgow Clyde have spoken highly of the event. Jaishree commented, “The event was genuinely brilliant and a massive learning experience. We felt the structure was excellent, and the mentorship we received was incredibly helpful in refining our pitch and business model.”
A huge well done to all involved and we wish all our finalists the very best of luck at the Grand Final which takes place in March.
