This SQA British Sign Language (BSL) Level 1 course is designed for those interested in improving on existing BSL skills.
What will I learn?
- SQA British Sign Language (BSL): Level 1 (SCQF Level 4)
- You will develop your skills in British Sign Language (BSL) in a range of straightforward personal/social and transactional/vocational contexts. You will further develop your skills of understanding and producing straightforward language using BSL.
All our BSL Teachers are skilled and qualified lecturers from the deaf community. You will be taught by a deaf teacher
Entry requirements (minimum)
- SQA British Sign Language (BSL): An Introduction (SCQF Level 3) or equivalent
Please note: Proof of minimum entry requirement will be requested. A refund or transfer will not be approved if you cannot provide evidence of certification from BSL Introduction course.
Articulation Routes
After studying this you can go on to study BSL Level 2 (SCQF Level 5) which can further lead on to Higher and PDA for those wishing to become an interpreter with further study and training.
