Glasgow is an Inspiring City

Glasgow Inspiring City

Glasgow Clyde College showed its support for the businesses and people that make Glasgow, at last night's Inspiring City Awards.

Congratulations go to the University of Strathclyde, winners of the Glasgow Clyde College Industry and Business Award, in recognition of its recently-opened Technology and Innovation Centre. Unique in the UK, the Centre is a hub for world-leading research, reshaping the way academics, business, industry and the public sector work in partnership.

As with all the award categories on the night, the standard of the Industry and Business Award short-list was high, with the other nominees being Bad Idea Organisation, Clydebuilt Partnership Ltd trading as Merchant Square and Entrepreneurial Spark.

Duncan McDougall, Director of Commercial and International Business at Glasgow Clyde College, said: "It's been great to be part of the Inspiring City Awards this evening. Glasgow Clyde College wishes to thank all of the people and organisations for entering these awards.

"The short-listed finalists have been outstanding and everyone should be proud of what they achieved. It's been a fantastic, uplifting event showcasing a wealth of talent from all across Glasgow. I hope all the finalists enjoyed their evening and congratulations to all of tonight's winners".
