Summer Barbecue

Colleagues from across Glasgow Clyde College came together for a summer BBQ at our Cardonald Campus recently to celebrate being named Further Educational Institution of the Year at The Herald Education Awards 2026, and to welcome everyone back after the summer break.

The idea for the celebration came directly from our staff, who told us they’d love the chance to get together and celebrate our College of the Year win. It was taken forward with the support of our Executive Management Team, with lots of people across the College working hard behind the scenes to make today happen.

Our students are at the centre of everything we do, and this award recognises the hard work, care and commitment of colleagues across Glasgow Clyde College who make their college experience possible every day.

So today was about taking some time to say thank you, celebrate together and recognise what we’ve achieved as one College community, as we get ready for the new academic year.

Good food, great company and a well-earned celebration of some truly Life Changing Stuff.
