College awarded Cycling Friendly Campus status

We’re excited to share that our three campuses have been awarded Cycling Friendly Campus status by Cycling Scotland. This recognises our commitment to supporting active travel through cycling, improving health and wellbeing, and reducing environmental impact.The Student Association and Campus Cycling Officer have delivered a range of initiatives to promote active and sustainable travel, including:

• Secure cycle storage and shower facilities across campuses
• Free bike repairs and maintenance for students and staffFree cycling training sessions for students and staff
• A Cycle to Work scheme enabling staff to purchase a bike through salary sacrifice
• Mileage claims of up to £0.20 per mile for staff cycling on business travel

We’ll continue to host a range of cycling-related events throughout the year in partnership with external organisations, including Learn to Cycle sessions, Dr Bike sessions, refurbished bike sales, cycle maintenance classes, and led rides.
