Celebrating Excellence: Outstanding feedback from the Care Inspectorate

We are thrilled to share the fantastic news that the Children's Centre at our Cardonald Campus has received outstanding feedback, with four 'very good' evaluations, following a recent unannounced inspection by the Care Inspectorate. This achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our entire nursery team, the supportive families, and the children we care for.

Commitment to Excellence

Our passion for providing high-quality care and education was evident throughout the inspection. The report highlighted that “Children experienced warmth, caring, nurturing approaches from all staff to support their overall wellbeing.” This dedication to nurturing each child’s development reflects our commitment to excellence and our drive to create a positive and enriching environment for all.

Building Strong Relationships

At the heart of our nursery is a people-centred approach, focusing on the needs and wellbeing of children, families, and staff. The inspection noted, “Strong relationships and effective communication with parents contributed to children’s needs being met.” One parent shared, “Staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. Definitely made to feel like part of the family. I feel it’s a safe environment for my child.” Another parent added, “We value coming in every morning and being greeted by the staff. The smiles on their faces and my child’s face makes it all worthwhile.” These quotes underscore our commitment to fostering a welcoming and inclusive community.

Innovative Practices

We are proud to be pioneering in our approach to early childhood education. The report praised our innovative practices, stating, “Children were empowered to be fully involved in their play and learning through the skilled interactions and actions of staff.” Our focus on child-centred, play-based learning ensures that children are engaged and motivated, helping them to thrive and develop essential skills for the future.

Strong Leadership and Integrity

Our principled approach is reflected in the strong leadership and integrity demonstrated by our management team. The inspection highlighted that “The service was very well led by a strong, approachable management team who delegated responsibility appropriately to staff and involved them in the development of the service.” This leadership ensures that our nursery operates with transparency, accountability, and a clear vision for continuous improvement.

Looking Ahead

As we celebrate this excellent feedback, we remain committed to our college values of being passionate, people-centred, pioneering, and principled. Our focus will continue to be on providing high-quality care and learning experiences for all children. We are excited about the future and look forward to building on this success together with our dedicated staff, supportive families, and children.

Thank you to everyone who contributes to making our nursery a place where children can thrive.
