Harris Tweed Reimagined Fashion

The Harris Tweed Reimagined Fashion Project is a large-scale, cross-disciplinary learning initiative involving 97 second-year students across the Fashion and Textiles department, in HND Fashion Design, HND Fashion Textiles, HND Fashion Technology and HND Fashion Communications.

The project was inspired when the Harris Tweed Authority donated 100 meters of Harris Tweed cloth and returned garments originally created by our fashion students more than twenty years ago. This unique moment of institutional heritage sparked an ambitious sustainability-focused project that asked students to reimagine these garments and the iconic fabric for a contemporary audience.
