This course will help you to prepare for the SQA Higher English exam.
Please note: This course will be taught on campus but will have options of online classes if unforeseen circumstances arise.
What will I learn?
- How to develop a high level critique of journalist and literary texts
- Use of language in short answer / essay writing
- Individual presentation and group discussion skills
- Close reading skills
- Study of major texts: drama, poetry, short stories or novels.

- If you choose to make only a deposit payment, you agree to make all outstanding balances as directed.

Private Candidates - SQA Exams
If you are a private candidate wishing to sit an SQA exam for National 5 and Higher subjects, we may be able to support you as the presenting centre. Just use the link below to find out more.
Entry requirements (minimum)
- A or B pass at National 5, Intermediate 2, Standard Grade Credit Level (or equivalent), in English or
- Have studied at HE level (HNC or university).
