This Higher P.E. course provides a starting point if you are considering further study or a career in a range of disciplines including physical education, sport, health and fitness.

You will demonstrate and develop a broad and comprehensive range of complex skills in challenging contexts in physical activities. You will also demonstrate your own initiative, decision making and problem-solving. This course gives you the opportunity to develop and enhance your knowledge and understanding of analysis and evaluation of performance in physical activities.

What will I learn?

This Higher P.E. course consists of 2 areas of study:

  1. Factors impacting on performance – Understanding of mental, emotional, social and physical factors that impact personal performance. Collection of data information and how these factors influence performance.
  2. Performance – Develop the ability to demonstrate a broad and comprehensive range of complex movements and performance skills. Select, demonstrate, apply and adapt these skills and use them to make informed decisions.

After the deposit payment, you will have a balance of £210 to pay. This balance will be paid in instalments of £105 over the 2 subsequent months following your deposit payment. (payment required by the 31st of the month)

3. There are no funding options or fee waivers available for this course.

4. If you choose to make only a deposit payment, you agree to make all outstanding balances as directed.

Entry requirements (minimum)

  • B at National 5 in Physical Education or equivalent qualifications and/or experience in sports, health and fitness.
