This Japanese course is suitable for learners who already know Hiragana, Katakana and have a basic knowledge of Japanese, or who have completed a basic course such as our Beginners Level 2.
You will learn simple words and everyday phrases that can be used in basic conversations including expressing your hobbies and talking about your daily routine.
You will learn the fundamental rules of the language step by step and practice using them in real life situations.

This course builds upon the foundational skills with continued emphasis on practical communication through listening and speaking, and a deeper dive into grammar and vocabulary, and cultural context through the course components.
Students will be required to purchase a Japanese textbook before attending the course. Marugoto : Japanese language and culture. Starter A1 Rikai. Coursebook for communicative language competences. This can be purchased in store and via online bookshops.
The course uses a textbook that provides content at the A1 level of the JF Standard for Japanese Language education and CEFR (European Framework of Reference for Languages). |
