Want to take your millinery skills to the next level?
Millinery Skills: Summer Hats, Headpieces and Trims is for students who have attended any other previous classes or those who have a little millinery experience and are keen to learn new skills.
You will have time to complete at least one finished hat or headpiece and six trims.
What will I learn?
The Millinery Skills: Summer Hats, Headpieces and Trims will allow you to experiment with a range of millinery techniques through a series of demonstrations and workshops.
You will be encouraged to explore both traditional and non-traditional uses of summer millinery materials such as sinamay straw, straw braid, buntal, raffia, wirework and tulle.
You will also explore creative ways to make sculpted sinamay bows, hat brim extensions, wirework frames, ombre painting on sinamay, tulle feathers, straw braid bows, buntal mats and raffia flowers to name a few.
The course will be taught by Shona Crozer, a milliner with over 18 years' experience. She has been the millinery lecturer at Glasgow Clyde College for over 8 years.
