This course is ideal if you have no previous teaching qualifications or if you already work in further education, adult education, community education and work-based learning and want to obtain a nationally-recognised qualification.
It would help prepare you for a career in vocational education as a trainer or lecturer in your own subject area of expertise.

By the end of this course, you will have a thorough understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a trainer in relation to legislation, equality and diversity and meeting the needs of learners. You will be able to sequence learning, plan and deliver sessions, using appropriate resources and teaching methods.
You will also be able to identify the characteristics of effective assessment and feedback.
This course is fully supported by online training materials. An additional time commitment of approximately 30 hours of your own time is required for research and further reading.
