This Sunday 20th July, the Scottish Textiles Academic Group (STAG) are taking Fashion Futures on the move to give Glasgow a glimpse of the young Scottish fashion and design talent that will be showcased at the main BBC at the Quay event on 3rd August 2014.
Professional models and dancers will climb aboard an impressive red Vintage Routemaster bus and take to the streets of Glasgow. At various iconic locations including, the riverside at Govan Cross, Paisley town centre and outside entertainment centre Soar at intu Braehead, the bus will stop to perform an impressive pop-up fashion and dance show.
Funded by the Celebrate Fund, this event will showcase designs by students and graduates from 9 colleges and universities across Scotland. Alex McCluskey, Director of Creative and Cultural industries at Glasgow Clyde College, says “The Celebrate Fund has allowed us to take this show on the road and ensure that people across the city have a chance to witness the talent our young Scottish designers of the future have to offer”.
Come along to one of the locations on Sunday or keep an eye out for the Fashion Bus as it moves around the city – expect music, dancing and bags of style!
