NQ Introduction to Sport and Fitness - Level 4

This course is designed to introduce you to Sport and Exercise training at a basic level which will prepare you for entry to NC Sport and Fitness (January start). You will gain practical skills and experience in a variety of sports and exercise contexts.

Course content

You will learn and take part in a variety of theoretical and practical  sports and exercise subjects including: 

  • Human Anatomy and Physiology
  • Indoor Sports ranging from: Basketball, Volleyball, Swimming including GB coaching awards where appropriate
  • Core Skills (National 4/5)
  • Nutrition

Entry requirements (minimum)

No formal academic entry qualifications are required, however, an active interest in sport and exercise is essential.

Progression routes

January start Intro to Sport and Fitness and progression to Level 5 and 6 National qualifications in Sport and Fitness.
