NQ Introduction to Events Management

This course is designed for those interested in pursuing a career in the events industry, and will equip you with the skill sand knowledge required for entry level position.  The course has a practical focus and you will get to plan, manage and run a number of real events throughout the year.  This practical work is underpinned by some theoretical subjects which will give you knowledge of event marketing as well as the financial and administrative skills required by today's events managers.  Additionally you will complete a number of tourism related subjects as the events and tourism industries are both heavily inter-related and reliant on each other.

Entry requirements (minimum)

  • Three Standard Grade passes at 3 or above
  • Three National 5’s
  • An interview is part of the selection process
  • A suitable reference will be required 
Selection Process 

Progression routes

Successful students may progress onto HND Travel & Tourism, HND Hospitality or HND Event Management.

Successful completion of the course can lead to a range of careers in the events industry.
