SQA National Courses: Highers and National 5s (Full time)

* Please note a few part time places are available.

Our full-time day National Courses programme offers students the opportunity to study up to 3 National Courses subjects, alongside development of core skills such as personal development, working with others and problem solving.

SQA National Courses are offered at SCQF 5 (National 5) and SCQF 6 (Higher). Students may study a mix of National 5 and Higher or all 3 subjects at one level. Students may also choose an option which includes tasters of a range of subjects.

All prospective students will be offered advice and guidance in making their subject choices and in being placed on the correct levels of study. We would ask you to fill out your application form as fully as possible to help us in the process of selecting candidates for interview. Please provide full details of all your qualifications, including any that are still pending. Please note that due to the high number of applications received not all applicants who meet the minimum requirements will be selected for interview.

If timetables permit you may choose one subject option not at your primary campus.

If English is not your first language, for study at SCQF level 5 you must be able to demonstrate English language skills at that level (e.g. SQA Intermediate 2 level or IELTS 5) and for study at SCQF level 6, English language skills at SQA Higher level or equivalent.

Note that the personal statement section of the application form is an important part of our selection process and must be completed fully with as much detail as possible.
