BPEC Unvented Hot Water Systems

This Unvented Hot Water Systems course from Glasgow Clyde College is a specialist plumbing qualification in unvented hot water cylinders certificated by BPEC.

Training and certification in this area is a requirement for plumbers looking to work with unvented hot water systems. Understanding factors such as the suitability of a property for installation, recognising different hot water systems and where to locate the cylinder are all important aspects of working with unvented hot water systems.

Learning to inspect, install, commission and service various unvented hot water storage units and packages, including the electrical supply arrangements for direct heating, and important elements in working with these systems.

There are a number of start dates throughout the year and it is offered on a day-release basis. 

Please note that you must enrol onto this course two weeks prior to the start date to allow enough time for essential reading.

Training (half day): 08:30-12:30
Assessment (half day): 13:30-16:00

Entry requirements (minimum)

You should be employed in the plumbing, heating and ventilation, or gas industries and be in possession of a plumbing or gas qualification.

This course is also suitable for operatives who have relevant industry experience. You will be asked to provide evidence such as a letter from an employer. 

There is no VAT charge because Glasgow Clyde College is exempt from VAT.
There is no charge for referral attempts.
