The Estates, Facilities and Energy team has a position for a flexible Senior Campus Officer, qualified to SCQF level 5 (e.g. General Standard Grades), with good communication skills and supervisory experience in a similar environment.


This post holder will pro-actively manage the arrangements are in place for fire alarms, fire evacuation and will work with the campus officers in the delivery of campus fire related services, including ensuring the fire control log book is updated. The role also utilises a Building Management System.


The role holder will be responsible for allocating and carrying out duties as tasked by the Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule. This will include, leading a high quality customer focussed campus service, by organising the department shift rota of the team, providing maintenance, janitorial, security, CCTV operation, porterage, central stores and mail services to ensure a high quality estate is maintained. You will require Microsoft ICT skills.


The position will effectively organise and monitor the daily duties of the campus officers and campus assistants, and will also ensure that appropriate arrangements are in place to control and monitor contractors on site. Duties will require shift working which range from early morning to late evenings. Also possible out of hours services.

Shift Allowance:          £3,816 (pro rata - £1,908)               

Location:                    Langside Campus. You may be required to travel and work                                        within all Glasgow Clyde campuses
