SVQ ASSESSOR - CARPENTRY AND JOINERY – (1 FTE) FIXED TERM UNTIL AUGUST 2020
The Faculty of Engineering, Computing and the Built Environment require an experienced Carpentry and Joinery professional to assess a range of candidates using National Occupational Standards at level 2 & 3.
Having extensive knowledge and occupational competence in the field of Carpentry & Joinery with an understanding of SVQs, the successful applicant will monitor candidate progress, maintain attendance and assessment records and ensure appropriate communication with candidate’s line management. Applicants will be qualified with a relevant Advance Craft or equivalent (SCQF Level 7), as well as an SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent). It would be desirable that the successful applicant holds an appropriate Assessor’s Award.
You will be responsible for generating contacts within your own subject area, therefore excellent interpersonal and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to relate well to a range of candidates and employers. Salary: £28,848 per annum (pro rata)
