Part Time Lecturer FTC - August 2020


The School of Media and Performing Arts has an outstanding reputation in graduate performance across a wide range of disciplines, including Sound Production, Music, Dance, Acting & Performance, Media, television and Journalism.  It also incorporates Scotland’s only School of Luthiery.


We are looking to appoint a motivated and qualified practitioner within the curriculum area of Sound Production. As an ideal candidate, you will have a range of practical experience in both music production and sound design. You may also have familiarity with other creative disciplines in the creative industries related to music and sound design, such as promotion, post-production, and games.


As a teaching member of staff of Glasgow Clyde College, you will aid excellence in learning through the preparation and delivery of high quality learning, teaching and assessment materials, and by supporting learners.


The successful candidate will have the ability to motivate and inspire diverse groups of young people to achieve their full potential. You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, work to your own initiative and relate well to student groups. With excellent organisational skills and a proven ability to work under pressure, candidates must have a flexible and can do attitude to work and be qualified in their subject area.


We are looking for someone with the relevant professional qualification (SCQF Level 9) and/or has industry experience. Previous teaching knowledge in a classroom setting is highly desirable however we also offer Teacher Training.

Salary:                       £32,000 - £40,026 per annum (pro rata)

Location:                  Cardonald Campus. You may be required to travel and work within all Glasgow Clyde campuses
