Community Learning and Development - HNC Working with Communities

If you are already actively volunteering or working in a community setting and would like to gain qualifications that recognise and enhance your skills and knowledge, then this is the perfect opportunity for you. This Higher National qualification provides practical skills and theoretical knowledge which meet the needs of employers.

HNC Working with Communities develops knowledge and skills in areas such as capacity building and community learning and development, and covers the following community learning and development topics: principles and practice, learning approaches, social science approaches, workplace practice, and group work.

Units can be delivered in the context of adult learning, youth work, health promotion, and capacity building in communities.
