Are you interested in a career within the television industry then this is the course for you. You will learn the film production process and gain the techniques to produce a short film. Using industry standard practices and high end equipment the course will equip you with the knowledge and practical skills needed to gain an understanding of what is required within the television industry. The course is also designed to give you the opportunity to progress on to further education.

Qualification Breakdown

National Progression Award in Television Production SCQF level 5:

  • Media: Directing a Single Camera Production
  • Media: Basic Video Camera Operations
  • Media: Sound Recording for Single Camera
  • Media: Basic Video Editing

Entry requirements

You must have:

  • English National 5 or equivalent
  • 3 other National 5 or equivalent credits
  • A genuine interest in television industry

Attendance Pattern

Tuesday and Thursday afternoons (1.30pm to 4pm)

Progression Pathways

One-year full time NQ Television with Photography Glasgow Clyde College.

Combined with higher qualifications, you could progress to HND Creative Industries: Television Glasgow Clyde College.
