This four hour/half day Risk Assessment session is an awareness course for those working in confined spaces and will cover various topics.
What will I learn?
The Risk Assessment course will cover:
Introduction:
- Legal background
- Purpose of risk assessment
- Definition of hazard and risk
- Principles of risk control Stages of risk assessment process
- Hazard identification
- Identification of persons at risk
- Evaluation of control measures
- Recording
- Monitoring and review
Workplace-specific hazards and risks:
Examples of various working environments and work processes will be examined, and students will be given the opportunity to comment on hazards and discuss suitable control measures.
Practical stage:
Students will be given a scenario where they will be able to conduct their own risk assessment, followed by a discussion period.
