This CENWAT1 Central Heating Boilers and Instantaneous Water Heaters course is a part time commercial course which provides an accredited certification to gas operatives to install, service and repair of central heating boilers and instantaneous water heaters. Preparatory training is not a pre-requisite for assessment however the College provides the opportunity for candidates to undertake training prior to assessment.

It is generally undertaken as part of a package with the BPEC Domestic Gas ACS (CCN1 plus appliances) but is also run stand alone for operatives who have a different expiry date to their core CCN1 or wish to add the appliance to their skill set. (Minimum capacity required)
Training - one day
Assessment - half day
*Training is NOT a pre-requisite for assessment although most candidates do elect to undertake some sort of training prior to the assessment.
*Course fee includes training (where requested), assessments, registration, certification, training pack and course materials.
*To add this appliance to your skill set applicants must have been on the Gas Safe Register for a minimum of 6 months. Evidence of this must be provided to support application.
Entry requirements (minimum)
- A valid CCN1 CPA1 certificate which includes CPA1

Jobs and further study
Holding CENWAT along with CCN1 will allow progression to Combination, High Efficieny Boilers, LPG Changeover, Non-domenstic changeover.
