This MET (Gas Meters) course at Glasgow Clyde College is a part time commercial course which provides an accredited certificate to enable gas operatives/engineers to install, exchange, remove and commission domestic gas meters. Preparatory training is not a pre-requisite for assessment however the College provides the opportunity for candidates to undertake training prior to assessment.

What will I learn?

This course covers the installation, exchange, removal and commission of domestic gas meters. s for gas engineers/operatives who have a different expiry date to their core CCN1 or wish to add the appliance to their skill set. It can also be undertaken as part of a package with the CCN1 Core Domestic Gas Safety Course.

Training - half day

Assessment - half day

*Training is NOT a pre-requisite for assessment although most candidates do elect to undertake some sort of training prior to the assessment. 

*Course fee includes training (where requested), assessments, registration, certification, training pack and course materials.

*To add this appliance to your skill set applicants must have been on the Gas Safe Register for a minimum of 6 months. Evidence of this must be provided to support application.
