Glasgow Clyde College offers candidates the opportunity to undertake the City & Guilds (2382) 18th Edition Wiring Regulations online exam on a stand-alone basis.

This is ideal for independent learners who are ready to undertake the 18th Edition online assessment. By booking a stand-alone exam, it is presumed candidates have gained the necessary knowledge to competently sit the exam and have access to associated learning materials.

What will I learn?

Candidates can undertake the City & Guilds (2382) 18th Edition - Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671 online exam on a stand-alone basis (no training provided). The exam is open book and candidates can refer to current IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations book.

Cost £100 and includes City & Guilds registration, printed certification and a complimentary resit.

The stand-alone exam option can also accommodate those who require other City & Guilds electrical online exams on a case by case basis, subject to availability.   

Stand-alone exams are arranged subject to demand and have a minimum capacity to run. Alternatively, candidates can infill to course exams where capacity allows.

Entry requirements (minimum)

Candidates must have:

  • direct or indirect electrical industry experience
  • the competence and knowledge to undertake the exam without training 
  • access to the IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations book and a scientific calculator.

Making an application

For courses starting in August, you can make up to two applications.

Applications are made to a course and a first choice of campus. If the course is oversubscribed at your first choice you will be automatically considered for alternative sites and may be made an offer without a further application.
