This Pattern Cutting Skills course will introduce you to the basic techniques for womenswear pattern cutting. Your course is led by Glasgow Clyde College lecturer Victoria Doolan who is a designer with a breadth of experience in the fashion and manufacturing industry and who teaches within the School of Fashion and Textiles, across all fashion courses at Glasgow Clyde College.

What will I learn?

You will learn to create and work with basic blocks and explore various techniques to create styles of waist-suspended garments.

Each lesson on fashion pattern cutting will include practical demonstrations from the tutor, and you will be set practical assignments each week to develop your skills. You will receive personal feedback on your work and will be able to ask questions and get guidance on how to improve your work.

Note:  The course cost of £180 includes the materials costs of £35
