City & Guilds Award in Education and Training (Level 3) - Blended Learning
The City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Education and Training is a knowledge-based introduction to teaching which has no teaching/training practice requirement. Therefore it may be undertaken by learners who are not in a teaching role.
The course is a blended course with online teaching over several weeks and a practical assessment which must be face to face as per awarding body requirements.
What will I learn?
Learners who successfully complete this qualification will have a fundamental
understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a teacher/trainer in relation to legislation, equality, diversity, inclusivity and meeting the needs of learners.
You will be able to sequence learning, plan and deliver sessions, using appropriate resources and teaching methods. You will also be able to identify the characteristics of effective assessment and feedback.
- Unit 301 Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training.
- Unit 302 Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning
approaches in education and training.
- Unit 305 Understanding assessment in education and training.
Please note: The practical element of this course must be completed on campus (Cardonald campus) in week 7. This is in accordance with City & Guilds requirements.
