Lighthouse Staircase

Students from the Additional Support for Learning course, Learning for Independence, visited The Lighthouse in Glasgow. The Lighthouse is Scotland's centre for design and architecture and the students visited as part of a project they were doing on 'Exploring Glasgow', part of a unit they studied, 'Investigating a Local Area'. The class also visited Kelvingrove Art Gallery and the Gallery of Modern Art as part of the project.

The students enjoyed their visit to The Lighthouse and were encouraged to look at the building in different ways and to document the visit by taking photographs for a scrapbook. One student, Andrew Robertson, took this interesting 'optical illusion' image of the staircase resembling an eye.
