VTCT (Level 3) Diploma in Complementary Therapies

This course is designed for individuals considering a career as a complementary therapist.

Course content

  • Principles and practice of complementary therapies
  • Business practice for complementary therapies
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology for complementary therapies
  • Provide body massage for complementary therapies
  • Provide aromatherapy for complementary therapies
  • Provide reflexology for complementary therapies
  • Advanced massage.

Entry requirements (minimum)

  • Must be 16 years or over before course start date
  • L2 Diploma in Complementary Therapies
  • NC Complementary Therapies
  • NC Beauty Therapy
  • Three standard grades at level 4 and above (including English)
  • Three intermediate 1s at grade C and above (including English)
  • Three national 4s (Including English)
  • Applications from those without formal qualifications but have relevant life and/or work experience will be considered.

  • Diploma in Stress Management 
  • Other VTCT courses
  • NC Wellness Therapy or access to other FE/HE courses
Therapists can work in a variety of settings including private practice, health clubs, hospitals, hospices, health clinics, GP surgeries, mobile therapist and workplaces.
