NQ Rangers Introduction to Sport & Fitness - Level 4

This course is designed to give you the skill, expertise and relevant vocational qualifications to work within the Sport and Fitness industry. It also provides the knowledge required to progress onto NQ Sports Coaching, HND Coaching and Developing Sport or HND Fitness, Health and Exercise. 

A PVG will be required to undertake any coaching placements / work experience which may be included in the course.

This course contains practical elements and applicants should ensure that they are physically fit enough to undertake the practical elements of the course.

Course content

The course consists of Level 4 units and College certificates which cover a range of practical and theoretical sports related units. Units can include:
  • Human Physiology
  • Sporting Activity Football  
  • Sporting Activity An: Introduction
  • Health Analysis
  • Sports Conditioning  
A programme of team building and leadership skills is undertaken along with Core skills First Aid certificate and national governing body sports awards.

Entry requirements (minimum)

  • All applicants must have an active interest in Sport and Fitness.
  • Entry will be by interview and two acceptable reference to determine suitability for this course
  • Applications are also welcome from those without formal qualifications who can demonstrate an active interest in fitness or sport and relevant life/work experience
