NQ Professional Cookery - Level 5

This course is designed to prepare students for entry to the Hospitality Industry at a basic level, or as preparation for entry to NQ Professional Cookery Level 5. A relevant qualification at Level 4 could be advantageous.  The emphasis is on gaining practical cookery skills, experience and knowledge of the Hospitality Industry.

Entry requirements (minimum)

  • No formal entry qualifications are required however an interest in cooking and the Hospitality Industry is essential. 
  • A relevant qualification at Level 4 could be advantageous. 
  • Entry will be by interview and references to determine suitability for this course. 
  • Applications are also invited from those without formal qualifications but who have relevant life and/or work experience. 

Progression routes

Successful students may progress to NQ Professional Cookery Level 6.

Previous students have gained employment in restaurants and hotels.
