NQ Advanced Business and Accounting - Level 6

This course is designed to prepare students for study at Higher National Level.  The course content is linked closely to that of HND Business and HND Accounting and provides applicants who do not currently meet the entry requirements for HND level to build a solid foundation for progression to that qualification.  It also prepares students for the world of work.

Entry requirements (minimum)

  • One Higher AND four National 5s (including English and a numeracy based subject) at C or above, OR
  • NQ in Business or Accounting along with an exemplary reference from your current college
  • Applications are also invited from those without formal qualifications but who have relevant life and/or work experience.

An interview may be part of the selection process.

If you do not meet the entry criteria for the level you apply for, you may instead be offered an interview for the lower level (which may subsequently be at another campus). If you are not interested in this, please inform us in your application, at the bottom of your personal statement

  • HND Accounting - Langside and Anniesland Campus
  • HND Administration or Business - all three campuses
  • This course offers successful learners employment options within  a range of business and non-profit organisations including the   finance, retail, marketing and customer service industries.
  • Those wishing to progress will sit a test and require an exemplary academic reference.

Applications are made to a course and a first choice of campus. If the course is oversubscribed at your first choice you will be automatically considered for alternative sites and may be made an offer without a further application.
