NQ Administration and IT - Level 6

This course provides the opportunity to acquire up-to-date skills essential for employment in a modern office environment. You will extend your knowledge of the use of Microsoft Office to word process, create spreadsheets, presentations and databases. You will also study some business subjects which will help broaden your knowledge of the administrative/business world.

  • Work Experience (subject to availability) 

Entry requirements (minimum)

  • Five Standard Grades at 3 or above or 5 Intermediate 2s at C or above or 5 National 5s at C or above (one of which should be English). Previous experience in using IT is essential
  • NC Administration and IT (Level 5) plus an excellent academic reference
  • Applications are also invited from those without formal qualifications, but have relevant life and/or work experience 
  • An interview will be part of the selection process 
  • If you do not meet the entry criteria for the level you apply for, you may instead be offered an interview for the lower level (which may subsequently be at another campus). If you are not interested in this, please inform us in your application, at the bottom of your personal statement

Progression routes

  • HNC/HND Administration and Information Technology 
  • Those wishing to progress should gain a high grade in their exam, pass all units as well as having an exemplary academic reference
  • Employment in an administrative environment.
