NQ Accounting (Level 5)

This course is designed to provide a good grounding in the accounting skills required for business. Successful completion of this course will allow students to progress on to a Higher National Course in Accounting or to work at an introductory level in an accounting or business organisation.

Entry requirements (minimum)

  • Three or more relevant Intermediate 1 qualifications at C or above (including English and a numeracy based subject); OR
  • Three or more relevant courses at National 4 level or above (including English and a numeracy based subject); OR
  • Three or more relevant Standard Grade passes (including English and a numeracy based subject) at Grade 3 or above; OR
  • Relevant work experience will be considered.
  • An interview will be part of the selection process

Progression routes

Successful students may progress to HND Accounting, Administration and Information Technology or Business.

Those wishing to progress will sit a test and require an exemplary academic reference.
