This fashion design course will help you build a wide portfolio of creative and practical skills. Based on project and studio work the course will cover fashion drawing, design development, pattern drafting and manufacturing skills. You will develop basic pattern cutting and sewing skills before progressing to more complex and inventive cutting and garment construction techniques. Students have the opportunity to participate in live industry projects within the fashion industry - recent sponsors include Oxfam and Kestin Hare. Many students have progressed to university courses or have entered directly into employment with some of the leading design and manufacturing companies in the fashion industry.
Progression from HNC to HND is not guaranteed and is dependent on suitable progression through course work as well as satisfactory attendance, timekeeping and commitment.
