HND Electronic Engineering

The course is for you if you would like to work as an engineer in electrical and electronics design, manufacture, maintenance, testing or fault finding. The programme has been developed in consultation with local industry, and combines theory and practical work with a focus on industrial applications.

The HND Electronics qualification will also enable you to progress to year 3 of Electronic/Electrical Engineering degree programmes at Glasgow Caledonian University. Access to other universities would be at their discretion.

This course is designed to enable engineers to develop their skills and competence to a higher level across a wide range of modern engineering systems. The award provides a broad-based technical education for those intending to work in electronics at technician level. The first year of the course also enables you to achieve a HNC in Electronics.
