This course is for students with a successfully completed HND in visual communication/graphic design or relevant industrial experience, who have a passion for typography and problem solving. We look for students who want to solve design problems and communicate visually in order to inform, challenge and entertain.
During Year One we build your confidence in all key areas within graphic design through a series of tutor-led design briefs, designed to challenge both your creative and technical abilities. You will also have the opportunity to develop a personal research project, online portfolio and blog.
In Year Two, you will undertake self-directed and national competition briefs tailored to your own career aspirations; helping you to easily communicate your strengths to employers within a professional portfolio of work. On graduating with a BA Honours Graphic Design you will have the skills to compete in a wide variety of careers including editorial design, typography, branding and publishing. Our alumni are now working with design consultancies including MC & Sachi Berlin, Red Bee Media, D8, Made Brave, Traffic and Skyscanner.
