NEBOSH General Certificate

NEBOSH National General Certificate provides an excellent overview of health and safety issues and is useful for managers, supervisors and staff, in all types of organisations. It is ideal for those who would like to start a career in the health and safety field and those already working in a health and safety role and would like to gain a formal qualification.

The course covers the main legal requirements for health and safety in the UK, identification and control of workplace hazards, and the practical application of this knowledge.

The course is delivered in association with NEBOSH centre number 890.

By the end of this course, you'll be able to manage risks more effectively.


Entry requirements (minimum)

This course has no formal entry requirements but as it is an intensive course, it is desirable that you have a sound knowledge of health and safety regulations. 

Progression routes

On successful completion of this course, you may progress onto:

  • NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health
  • BSC in Occupational Health and Safety 
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Risk and Safety Management.
