Emergency First Aid

The course covers the full Emergency First Aid syllabus as recommended by the Health and Safety Executive. It is taught in context with general and domestic situations, school and workplace activities and the type of incidents/accidents common to these groups.

Course content

The course covers the following areas: 
  • resuscitation
  • bleeding
  • circulatory disorders
  • disorders of consciousness
  • shock
  • burns
  • diabetes
  • epilepsy
  • fractures. 
Practical sessions include:
  • wound dressing
  • recovery position
  • CPR.

On completion of this training, an HSE Emergency First Aid certificate will be issued, which is valid for three years.
