YMCA Personal Training: Nutrition (CYQ Certificate)

This module covers the principles of healthy eating and weight management in relation to exercise, sports and wellbeing.

Nutrition is one of the hottest topics around and one that is sure to interest your clients and generate questions that you, as a Personal Trainer, will be expected to answer with confidence. This module covers the principles of healthy eating and weight management in relation to exercise, sports and wellbeing. As a Personal Trainer you will learn how to evaluate information from your clients, offer general nutritional guidelines and tailor them to satisfy individual clients needs.

This course will cover the components of a healthy diet, food diaries and nutritional guidelines, allowing you to interpret specific diets and their impact upon weight management.

Entry requirements (minimum)

  • Level 2 Fitness Instructor Qualification (Gym) to access this course as part of the Personal Trainer route
  • You can also access this qualification for personal development from an Exercise to Music background.
