This qualification ensures you are up to date with the latest industry regulation on electrical wiring, and the safe use and operation of electrical equipment and systems. The course covers the 17th edition of the IEE (Institution of Electrical Engineers) Wiring Regulations, which came into force in June 2008.
If you're a practicing electrician, you must comply with these regulations for electrical work. This qualification is designed to provide those seeking progression in their career with the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to carry out job roles and responsibilities associated with the Electro-technical industry. This includes areas such as installation and maintenance of electrical installations.
The course is delivered over six evenings, with the exam on the seventh evening.
Successful completion of the course gives students the knowledge required for the electrical industry and for an update on the SJIB (Scottish Joint Industry Board) grade card.
Glasgow Clyde College can also provide training for larger groups or clients at a location that suits your business.
This course is accredited by City & Guilds. Irrespective of where you consider doing this type of course, we advise that you use a provider which gives an accreditation since other providers may offer the training but not an accredited certificate.
The cost is £380 (price includes IEE yellow textbook, assessment fees and one free resit.)
ITA funding to be confirmed. This replaces the old ILA Funding stream.
